Spaces available for corporate and private hire

The library offers diverse spaces for private hire.

In the Old Bodleian Library choose between the 15th-century Gothic Divinity School, and the 17th-century Convocation House, which sits next to Chancellor's Court, the University’s former courtroom.

In the modern Weston Library there are also three spaces to hire: the Blackwell Hall atrium with access to the exhibition galleries, the lecture theatre equipped with audio-visual systems, and the roof terrace with stunning views over Oxford.

Divinity School

The University’s oldest teaching and examination room, dating from the 1400s. Use of Convocation House and Chancellor's Court are included in the price of Divinity School.

Chancellor's Court, the Bodleian Library

Convocation House

Convocation House is a 17th-century room, constructed as a meeting place for the University’s supreme legislative body. With wooden tiered seating around all four sides of the room and excellent natural acoustics, it offers an opulent setting for presentations, meetings or dinners.

The interconnected Chancellor's Court is the University’s former courtroom and now acts as a private entrance hall to Convocation House or a catering space for dinners in Divinity School.

Blackwell Hall

Blackwell Hall is the Weston Library's splendid entrance atrium, with a colonnade overlooking Broad Street. This bright and airy space is ideal for presentations, private receptions and dinner dances.

Corporate event at Blackwell Hall, Weston LIbrary

Sir Victor Blank Lecture Theatre

Situated on the ground floor of the Weston Library, the Sir Victor Blank Lecture Theatre has comfortable tiered seats, soft-fold tables with power sockets, and the room is equipped with an built-in PA system with microphones, including lectern and table-based panel mics, and a large screen.
