About the event

Join us for an afternoon of all things Jane Austen with a series of 4 short performances of Emma.

After performing at the Oxford Festival of Arts and at the Jane Austen House Museum, Chawton, as part of Jane Austen’s 250th anniversary year, Erika Sanderson and Helen Davidge from Georgettes of Oxford will be performing selected scenes from Jane Austen’s Emma at the Weston Library. This event is connected with their Dancing with Jane Austen display currently in Blackwell Hall.

The same performance scenes will be repeated throughout the day at the following times:

  • 12.00: First performance
  • 13.00: Second performance
  • 14.00: Final performance

Each performance will last about 20 minutes.

Speakers

Erika Sanderson trained at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama in London. She works as an actor, director and voice actor.

Dr Helen Davidge is a historical dance specialist and Director of the Georgettes of Oxford.
